The Excellentia inauguration and feast day celebration of Rev.Fr.George Thellakkatt was celebrated in all its solemnity & grandeur at Lisie College of Allied Health Sciences on April 24, 2021 under covid circumstances through a digital platform, zoom. A short program had been organized to mark the significance of the day.
College management invited Rev. Fr. George Thelakkatt was the chief guest of the program (Asst Director, Lisie Medical and Educational Institutions). Ms.Daya Rose Robin was the MC of the program. The program began at 3:00 PM with a prayer song. All are welcomed to the program by Dr. Shabeer. S. Iqbal (Principal, Lisie College of Allied Health Sciences), followed by the inauguration ceremony of EXCELLENTIA academic program. The chief guest addressed the students and urged them to do their best and feel proud to be a part of the institution, also highlighted the significance of the Excellentia program & talked about the need for the academical program to organize this emerge symposium which precedes the quality of education and also co-curricular activities which is very beneficial for each and every student and faculty. A melodious song was sung by Ms. Ancy after the inauguration ceremony. The students who won the drawing competition(cartoon) connected with Excellentia were announced by Ms. Saranya V.G(Ass. professor, Lisie College of Allied Health Sciences). Felicitation was given by Mrs. Mila V.S(professor, Lisie College of Allied Health Sciences) and Sr. Alby Thomas gave a good greeting. Finally, Vice Chairman Nithin Varghese proposed a Vote of Thanks. The celebration came to an end by singing the lisie anthem by Sr Alby Thomas.
As a part of excellentia Ms. Saranya V G (Asst. Professor, LCOAHS) presented CRISPR cas 9 technology and its applications via zoom meeting. This topic was highly relevant and knowledgeable.
